This is somewhat of an optical illusion ~ sometime the minds eye makes it look like its an outie, but its defo concave..

Great photos for reference! Thanks!

Important note: according to TM (who supplied me with some superb accurate-lookign aluminium clips for my detonator) the clips were attached with machien screws and not rivets.

Look how wide the metal strips are. I had a faint inkling of that on some other pics, but that confirms it. Great stuff! :D

Im sure their are pictures of the machine screws that are holding the brackets on,which i believe to be around an inch wide.Brackets that is not the screws!

The ANH and ESB would be the same for the reused suits - the so called ESB 2 would most likely be more like the rotj version.. more investigation is needed me thinks Smile

Most of the archive photos are suits used in ANH and ESB.The troopers in the ESB mark ll lids still have ANH suits,so me thinks that the TDs would be ANH versions also.

Pappy
Nice spot mate
The back pack TD control panel definitely looks different, the capsule shapes seem to overlap
on a central base instaed of sitting flush all in a row
Perhaps the wardrope Department when they got back in England decided to refine it along
with other tweaks like the sniper plate.

So why is everyone using white PVC pipe and painting it gray as opposed to buying gray PVC pipe. Is it a color issue?

Electrical conduit pipe is gray, but is not as readily available in the states as white plumbing PVC pipe, but they are the same size ID and OD.

The correct diameter grey pipe (68mm) iirc is outside waste pipe here in the uk. I think the te lineage td parts were a fan sculpt and smaller hense why most people use the wrong pipe.

ARGH! Suspect

Finding out new information is both exciting, yet frustrating.
