Hi, i like to know the best way to weather a helmet i dont want to over do it as i want it to be like in ANH plus i have done the chippings only a few have not gone to mad with that , i was thinking on rubbing some newspaper with the black ink to go on it , but any other method you guys have done please share with all

As we have spoken about many time mate,Newspaper is a great medium for weathering .it leaves a nice patina on the paint and give a very cool real world look.The other thing for thick scuff marks is the rubber trim from the lid.Just swipe it across here and there.

Cheers Pete , yes mate i will be using the the newspaper effect as you have said certenly gives it that look and just some swipes of the rubber trim , oh and Mark i have seen you kick and throw your armour around i think i will pass mate i dont want it to look like how the origanl lids are today

Pastels from the art shop are good for weathering as well, but newspaper is my favourite...

I used my necktrim for 'visible scratchmarks' and newspaper for the rest

Easiest way EVER:

Black chinagraph pencil.

Scribble a bit on there, rub it with a finger, and voila - instant weathering. Removable too. Worked a treat on my Biker, and will work on me Commander soon.
